The Redpark PoE Splitter connects iPad to ethernet and uses power over ethernet (PoE) to charge the device. This enables iPad to receive both data and power over a single ethernet cable when connected to a PoE-enabled switch or a PoE Injector.
 
This iPad ethernet adapter is instantly recognized as a network connection and provides data to the iPad through the lightening connector, allowing for the iPad to be off of your wireless network.
 
The adapter connects to the iPad using a Redpark Lightning to USB Micro B cable (sold separately).
